NEW RELEASE!
How the Fripp Island Deer Saved Christmas
Mary T. Jacobs
When Grandfather discovers Santa Claus needs help to deliver toys to Fripp Island on Christmas Eve, he enlists the help of Big Daddy, Rico, and Lucky to round up all the deer to save the day. How The Fripp Island Deer Saved Christmas takes place on the seaward island off the coast of South Carolina and is a story about how acceptance, trust, and reliance on those with differences can help bring everyone together to achieve seemingly impossible tasks.
A portion of the proceeds from How the Fripp deer Saved Christmas is donated to the Fripp Island Sea Rescue, a nonprofit organization that serves boaters who need rescuing. To learn more, visit www.fisearescue.org. Big Daddy and Fripp Island Sea Rescue thank you!
“In this lovely book, Mary Jacobs captures something true about Fripp. This is a place that reminds us we are not here alone. Wildlife is part of daily life. The island teaches us kindness, awareness, and how to live a little more gently alongside the creatures.”
— Dana Bradley, Fripp Island Deer Preservation and Wildlife Foundation
“Dr. Mary Jacobs has once again created a beautiful story filled with fun, adventure and wildlife - this time taking place during the most wonderful time of the year! Thank you, Mary, for continuing to showcase our extraordinary island and its famous deer (along with Big Daddy himself!).”
— Heather Pickens, Wildlife Manager, Fripp and Harbor Islands
